Mama Pizza Kuta Lombok

I wanted to give those 5* as I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the dough, pizza base and toppings. However I felt fell short at their selections of pizza’s they had. The place gets very busy so expect to wait, we waited maybe 5 minutes. Even when full food comes very fast. They had a lot of things sold out so prepare for that. Also can be quite oily Best pizza we have eaten in 5 months of backpacking SE Asia.

So good! We ordered a burratta pizza which was probably one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. My husband ordered a pesto pasta which was very good! If we lived here I would be here every week!

I had an amazing experience at this pizzeria in Kuta. The pizza was absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients and a perfect crust — truly a real Italian pizzeria! The manager was very professional and welcoming, and the staff made the atmosphere warm and friendly. Honestly, the best pizza I’ve had in Indonesia. I’ll definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kuta Lombok!!!

I come to Mama Pizza all the time… it’s one of my favorite spots in Lombok. As an Italian, my standards are naturally high… but the food here is truly authentic. From pasta to pizza to the panna cotta, which is my absolute favorite dessert, everything is made with top-quality ingredients and attention to detail. Luca, the owner, does an incredible job with consistency, flavor, and presentation. However… the lunch service really needs attention. The staff often seem disengaged… no smiles, no warmth, and not much effort to make guests feel cared for. My server today, Lia, didn’t even bring the bill to the table. At dinner, when it’s busy, I can understand… but during a quiet lunch there’s time for those small but important gestures. It makes such a difference when staff take a moment to smile and provide that extra touch of hospitality. Another detail that really stood out… when she brought the spoons for dessert, she didn’t place them on the right-hand side where they belong. Instead, she set them in the middle of the table on a wet surface… which soaked the napkin and left my spoon wet. It’s a small thing, but it completely breaks the experience for the guest and shows a lack of care in basic service standards. The food, however, remains exceptional… and I’ll definitely keep coming back. I truly hope the management works on improving the service so that the hospitality matches the quality of the food…because this place deserves to be perfect.

Finally, a truly good pizza! Of course, prices are higher than a regular meal in Indonesia (and rightfully so), but it’s absolutely worth it. The staff is quick and friendly, the place is well-kept, and the Italian music adds a great atmosphere . If you ever feel a bit homesick, this is the perfect spot to feel at home.

We had mama pizza at first in Gili air, and was wanted to try it here then! The dough is still fantastic, and also the pizza. I feel the card was slightly different. I took the same pizza as Gilir Air, very very chicken, I thought it was strange no tomato sauce but it works out well, it was still very tasty and the green chili was cut so taste were better. Highly recommended if you are looking to eat a pizza! The price is worth it.
